1. First, complete our fast and easy donation form to schedule your car donation pickup. You may also give us a call at (571) 306-0650 during our normal business hours M-F 9am-5pm.

2. Next we will arrive at your pickup location on your scheduled pickup date to tow away your donated vehicle.

3. Lastly, we will mail you a tax deduction receipt if your vehicle sold for less than $500 or a 1098-c form if your vehicle sold for more than $500.  This will be mailed to you within 30 days after we pickup your donation.

We accept car donations throughout the Northern Virginia area which includes: Alexandria, Arlington, Clarke, Culpeper, Fairfax, Falls Church, Fauquier, Fredericksburg, Loudon, Manassas, Manassas Park, Prince William County, Rappahannock County, Spotsylvania County, Stafford County, and Warren County.

We accept most cars, trucks, fleet vehicles, boats, motorcycles, and ATVs.

Yes. We accept ALL car donations wether running non-running. 

No. If you decide to donate your vehicle, we will provide free towing.

We are able to pickup your donated vehicle within 24-48 hours. if you have a specific date that you would like us to pickup your vehicle, please select the date on our online form or let us know when you call in (571) 306-0650

No. If you will not be home on the date of the scheduled pick-up.

Please advise us specifically where the vehicle will be located and where in the vehicle you will be leaving the title and the keys. 

Our towing company will leave you a towing receipt showing that your vehicle was picked up on behalf of The SPRK Foundation. 

Please also remember to remove your personal belongings and to take off the license plates before the day the vehicle is scheduled to be picked up.

1. The title for the vehicle you are donating.
2. You will need to sign your name on the signature of the seller line located in the first assignment area of the title. Please sign your name as it appears on the front of the title.
3. If more than one person is listed as an owner on the front of the title, they must also sign on the signature of seller line.
4. If applicable, we will need a lien release if there was ever a lien holder listed on the title.

The Commonwealth of Virginia requires that a title be signed over when you make your vehicle donation. Titles should be provided at the time of vehicle pick up. If your situation is unique, contact us to see if we can work with you to complete the vehicle donation process. (571)306-0650

The IRS allows the donor to determine the fair market value up to $500. 

If we sell your donated car for over $500, the IRS allows you to claim the selling price as a deduction. 

If your vehicle sales for more than $500 the IRS requires SPRK Foundation to complete

IRS form 1098-C. If this form is required for your donation, you will be asked to provide your

Social Security number for the purpose of completing this form. We will mail you a copy of this form to you with 30 days after the pickup of your donated vehicle.

We do all we can to maximize the selling price of your car, this way you can get a larger tax write off and more funds help us assist low-income single parent households and at risk youth.

Yes, vehicles donated to registered nonprofit organizations are tax deductible. 

Because we are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, your car donation to SPRK Foundation is completely tax deductible. 

After we receive your car donation, we will mail you a receipt that states your tax deduction amount.

On the day we receive your vehicle, our insurance provides coverage. We will handle all transfer documents according to The Virginia Department of Motor Vehicles guidelines. We will also provide you with a tax deduction receipt and information for your tax deduction.

SPRK Foundation, is a federally registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. You receive a tax deduction for the total amount that your car sells for. See here for tax information.

Chapters are based upon the sale proceeds of all donated vehicles during a given month, less deductions for normal monthly costs such as towing, advertising, auction fees and administrative fees.

The SPRK Foundation is a car donation program that benefits the local community of Northern Virginia. Proceeds from car donations benefits low-income single parent households who are in need of assistance and support. We also support local children organizations and programs that are in need of support. Our mission is to make an impact in the lives of children and teens right here in Northern Virginia.
